I provide a pet service with an exceptional high level of care. I offer a flexible, professional service to suit your requirement and general care for your pet. I own a whippet myself, called Mr Skip and we love to spend as much time as we can walking out in the countryside. As a dog owner myself I understand how important regular exercise is for your pet and take care of all the dogs I work for as if they were my own, giving them all the attention and affection they need.

Dog Walking Service

Intital Home Visit incl. meet & greet

Before you make your first booking I will take some basic information from you and answer any initial questions (either on the phone or via email). I will arrange a short visit to meet and greet you and your dog. During this visit I will get to know you both and discuss your requirements. You can either decide there and then if I can help you, or alternatively you can let me know later. This consultation enables me to find out all those important little things about your dog and to establish exactly how you wish to use our service. No need to worry as this service is completely free and you will be under no pressure or obligation to use Lead&Collar Pet Services.

If you decide to go ahead and make a booking with me I will agree your first walking date(s), give you a copy of the Terms and Conditions and current Fees, which can also be found on this website, and that's it, as simple as that!

Once you've booked

We will organise how I will gain access to your property. Mostly (if preferred), and particularly for regular walkers, I hold keys for clients until such a time as they don't need our services any more. Keys will always be kept safely and in a lockable safe, they are insured and will be returned on request. I also have a key holding service for if you get locked out or lose your keys.

And that's it, all ready to go!

 The adventure

All walks are in groups of no more than 6 dogs unless otherwise previously agreed. We walk in various locations, but usually in secure fields, parks, woods or the canal towpath. If dogs are allowed off-lead, I take balls and frisbees to add to the fun and games. Transport time is not included in the walk.

I will arrive at your home in my clean, crated van. The crates are secured to the van and each has a waterproof mat for added comfort and hygiene. Your dog will have his/her own crate for the journey and is welcome to bring a toy, chew or blanket along, if you wish.

I will enter your property, leaving muddy shoes at the door, and collect your dog(s) as quickly and calmly as possible, before locking up and getting him/her into the van. I have a ramp available for those who find it too hard to jump up. Routes are planned so that the dogs are in the van for as short a time as possible, and water will be available to them throughout their journey in the non-spill water bowls.

Once the adventure has ended for the day

After your dog's walk I will get him/her back into his own crate for the journey home. On returning to your home I will give your dog(s) a rub down and clean his/her paws as best I can before entering your property and settling them down as agreed. I will then say goodbye, provide a small healthy treat (unless otherwise agreed) lock up, and look forward to the next time.
